Our SAT Score Calculator is a tool to help you estimate your scores. Simply input the number of questions you answered correctly for each section, and we’ll provide you with an estimated score range.
To calculate your estimated SAT score, you will need to input the number of questions you got right in the two sections of the test: Reading and Writing, and Math.
Once you’ve entered the values, the calculator will provide you with an estimated score for each section and your total estimated SAT score.
The SAT is scored on a scale of 400 to 1600. The total score is the sum of the scores from two sections: Reading and Writing, and Math. Each section is scored on a scale of 200 to 800.
The final score is not just the sum of correct answers. The College Board uses a process called “equating” to adjust for slight differences in difficulty between different test versions. This ensures that a score from one test date is comparable to a score from another.
What is considered a “good” SAT score can depend on your personal goals and the colleges you are interested in. However, you can get a general idea by looking at the percentile rankings. A percentile ranking shows what percentage of students you scored higher than. For example, if you are in the 75th percentile, you scored higher than 75% of other test-takers.
Improving your SAT score takes time and practice. One of the best ways to improve is to use practice tests to identify your weaknesses and then focus on those areas. There are many resources available to help you, including free SAT practice tests from the Khan Academy and the College Board’s Bluebook.
